HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!! I am honestly so excited for this year because it’s off to a great start and next year will be the year I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree!!!!!!!!!!!! My next graduation date has been highly anticipated. I am beyond excited and have a ton to get ready for.
Anyways, I have about 2 main goals. The first one is to be more health conscious. I plan on exercising more and eating better so I can lose a few pounds. It is to also take better care of myself since I am in my twenties now. I’ve gone to the gym 4 times a week for two weeks in a row so far. I am currently on my third week. I’ve lost 3 lbs so far. My progress might be slow, but I’m not complaining because at least I’m seeing some form of results. I actually like going to the gym, it’s the dieting part that sucks. I have cut out bread, junk food, juice and sugary foods, and most processed foods. I plan on drinking more water and eating more fruits and vegetables. We’ll see the results.
My second goal is to save money because next year is the most anticipated year of my life! Ever since I was a little girl at 7 years old, I have dreamed of going to Thailand to visit my mom’s side of the family….the only other extended family I have and next year that is going to happen! I also would like to start saving more so I have more money in the future. My plan for that is to cut out extra expenses and to budget. I already downloaded an app to keep track of my money and it’s called EveryDollar. I also plan on taking up couponing as a hobby. I think the savings will make me motivated to keep couponing. Recently, I got a Vons card and the savings are ridiculous there if you shop with sale prices and get the cheapest brands. The Vons card has been totally worth it so far which is also free by the way. Instead of shopping so often I am going to take note of priorities. For example this year I need 4 dresses: graduation, valentine’s day, birthday, and another birthday. I also need heels for each of those dresses because although I am on a budget I also have other minor goals. One of which is to update my closet and have more mature clothing. I want a more updated fashion sense. I have about 5 dresses to date and 3 pairs of heels, 2 of which are wedges to date. It’ll be a give and take. I will set a budget for each of those outfits and try going to thrift stores so I can get more for my money. By saving money and trying to update my home and sense of style, I will also be donating and getting rid of items I no longer need.
What are your 2018 resolutions or goals? 🙂
