My Summer Goals 2018

School is over! It ended for me on May 18, 2018 because that was the last day I was at school for this semester. I watched my boyfriend graduate with his BA that Friday and it was unforgettable. I cried watching him walk on stage because I knew how hard he worked and how much dedication it took to earn his degree. His journey hasn’t been easy, but he made it and I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Onto my goals for summer, I recently got a new job which I am incredibly grateful for and it’s full-time which is awesome! With this job, I decided to set a few financial goals to accomplish by the end of the year which also inspired me to create summer goals!

First off I want to save money!

I’d like to save about $1,500 by the end of summer so by the end of August. I really want to have a savings to rely on instead of always going back to my savings account and using up all of the money because I’m too broke not too.

Blog more!

Work on my blog more and make more pictures on graphic design websites like Canva and Snappa. Taking pictures for blog posts take more of my time than I anticipated. I didn’t have as much time to blog while I was going to school, but now with my job I’m still adjusting. I’m definitely going to start dedicating time to become a pro with Canva and Snappa. Go  Out More.

I want to try new things like going to book stores and thrift stores more often. I don’t spend a lot of time in the new city I’m living in and I’d like to get more out of it. I’ve made a list of new places I plan on going to this summer so I can try out new things and find cool places to like in town.

Exercise more.

I haven’t been working out for the last 2 weeks because of finals, training and my boyfriend’s graduation. I’ll be going to the gym on the weekends and eating well on the weekdays. I’ve been okay so far but I need to work harder at it so I can see a big difference by the end of summer!

Eat better.

I have been eating better this past week, and my main goals are to try to eat less at night and less sugar. I’ve been told that I look thinner but I don’t want to step on the scale to break my confidence. I’m just taking it day by day and trying to eat better.

Get back to creating with makeup, journaling, photography, and videos!

I stopped wearing makeup because my allergies have taken over. It doesn’t matter if I take my allergy medicine or not, I still get hit with watery eyes which gets mistaken for crying way more often than it should. I miss wearing eyeliner because that is my favorite makeup product. So, I plan on trying to do my makeup again so I can start posting tutorials and try out new makeup looks. I haven’t made time to journal which is one of my best ways to relieve stress so definitely going to start working that into my daily schedule. I miss taking pictures pretty often, but that’s stopped because my front camera stopped working. So I’ve been using my boyfriend’s phone once in a while to take pictures but that doesn’t always work because I don’t have it at all times. I’m thinking about making videos on hauls or makeup ?? Would you guys watch if I did videos on shopping hauls and makeup tutorials. Let me know in the comments.

  1. I’m with you on the healthy eating front, but mines to shift the last of the baby weight.

    Have you tried a bullet journal? I’ve recently started one and it’s such a great creative outlet, another goal for me is to be more consistent with my BuJO.
