    Tools to Help Blogging

Starting a blog is really fun but it can also become difficult at times. I just started making time to use other tools to help promote and help my blog. Here are some of the tools that I have found to be useful. Graphic Design can help your blog by making your blog have a nicer theme and you can promote those pictures on social media. I have tried out Snappa and Canva and I like Snappa more because it’s cheaper in my opinion, easier to use since there’s templates. Canva is priced based on your themes and I’ve noticed a lot of bloggers prefer using it. Snappa is more…

    Iphone X Review

Before the hate begins because Iphones are “overrated” and “expensive” let me just add I just switched over to Apple products last November. I’ve had Android phones for most of my life and recently bought my boyfriend’s Iphone 6 Plus because my phone’s memory sucked and my phone was really laggy. I had the Galaxy Grand Prime. Why I Needed A New Phone? My boyfriend’s Iphone 6 Plus was 4 years old and it still works, but I’ve dropped it twice on accident of course and half of the screen came off and now the whole screen can pop off. So yeah I needed a new phone to say the…

    Tips on utilizing LinkedIn

Background Linkedin is a website that is structured similar to Facebook, but with the purpose of connecting users with employers and vice versa. I’ve had a Linkedin account since my first year of college. I decided to make my account because one of my professors suggested it and I wanted to learn the website before it came to the point where I would have a whole profile complete. I’ve had my account for a few years now and this summer was the most use I’ve had out of it. Here are my tips for utilizing Linkedin: Tailor your resume for each job you’re applying too, and use different formats for…

    How To Get Small FREEBIES!

While scrolling through Instagram, I saw that one of my friends was showing this box of free sample products she received from a company so she could do reviews on them. I thought it was cool that she had received those products and all she had to do was write reviews on them. I thought it would be a great way to get products to write reviews on as well and feature them on my blog. So her post inspired me to look for freebie websites, and I knew I was already a part of one, because I get emails so often. The two websites I use to get free…

Marvel Needs to add Non-Stereotype Asian Characters

First off let me say, I am a huge Marvel fan as most of us are, but this issue is very bothersome and I wanted to hear other opinions. Lately I’ve noticed the lack of diversity in more of the recent Marvel movies. Black Panther was amazing and it’s about time we had an all Black cast, however we are still behind with other ethnicities. Being half Asian, it’s upsetting to read articles about White actors and actresses getting casted over actually talented Asian actors and actresses. Marvel has had a great track record with their movies with their average rating on rotten tomatoes being an 80%. I’ve been watching…

First Attempt on a Cut Crease makeup look

Hey guys I was inspired from watching some makeup tutorials and I have been meaning to try this all summer. Finally got around to attempting a cut crease makeup look and here’s my tutorial on how I did it. All of the products I used are affordable, and can be found at drugstores and makeup stores. I love and prefer vegan and cruelty free brands. First step of how I start doing my makeup is applying concealer under my eyes. I used Maybelline’s age rewind concealer and I’ve been using this brand of concealer for 4 years now. It can be found at Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, Ulta, and etc. The…

Questions About Interracial Love and Relationships

By Abina George I was so fortunate to meet another awesome blogger, Deanna Stilwell. Both of us happen to be in interracial couples. We decided to answer some questions so that people can better understand how and why we both ended up dating outside our race and tell our interracial stories. How did you meet your significant other? I am so ashamed of myself. We haven’t even admitted this to our families, so it’s been an overused tale. We tell everyone that we met in a coffee shop while the truth of the matter is that we met online. We are a product of online dating even though we both…

Steps I’m taking to be Healthier

Always trying to stay healthy and here’s what I’ve been doing lately to lose weight and to improve my health. I work a 9am-5pm job, so I haven’t gone to the gym in a while. I plan on going after work now a few times a week or a walk or doing home workouts. I’ve been going on walks during my 30 minute lunch breaks to get some exercise in my day. I have also been wearing my fitness watch to try and reach 5,000 steps in a day which I know isn’t what we should be getting, but I feel if I’m eating healthier and trying I will reach…
