Looking for a new foundation that’s affordable and lasts long! Well look no further here’s my review for my current favorite foundation. This foundation is $5.99 as listed on their website which you can see here. I’ve been using this foundation since February 2017, my boyfriend actually bought it for me when he came to visit me for a weekend. Anyways it’s been my favorite foundation since! Just before this foundation, I was using the Rimmel Perfect Match Foundation which you can read about it here.
Why I Chose This Product?
I love Wet N’ Wild and have used the brand since high school. I love the brand because it’s affordable, vegan and cruelty-free. I really wanted to try out Wet n’ Wild’s new foundation because this is their first liquid foundation. Personally, I’m not a fan of powder foundation because it looks cakey on me. I also don’t like how it feels on my skin, which is why I prefer liquid. I think liquid also provides better coverage. This is one of the most known brands that are vegan and cruelty-free AND affordable, well to me at least which is a HUGE deal! Most of the other brands that are vegan and cruelty-free are either expensive or do not have the best quality when it comes to their makeup products. For instance, Elf is a great brand but the quality, in my opinion, can’t compare to Wet n’ Wild which is always listening to their customers and coming out with new products their customers are asking for.
This foundation is advertised as, “Your skin, only better. Our new high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup every time. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection.” I believe the lighting feature because I always look like I have clearer skin when I’m wearing this foundation. This foundation has 25 shades featuring only 5 darker shades, but in reality only 2 of those are actually dark enough for darker skin tones in my opinion. I like that the foundation has a little wand as the applicator, I really hate when liquid foundations don’t come with an applicator. I have mentioned this product is lightweight, but full coverage which isn’t advertised in their description. However, when I saw the commercials for the new foundation I saw that it looked lightweight and when I watched reviews it was mentioned that the foundation did do a great job at providing full coverage for its a price.
This foundation is very easy to apply and I don’t have to apply a lot of it to cover up acne and my redness. Although I don’t experience redness often, I do experience it more in the summer so it’s been very helpful. Very lightweight, and provides great coverage, and I’ve been applying more of it now so I can see if it’ll feel heavier when I wear a little more. Even when I apply more it doesn’t feel heavy and comes off easy. It doesn’t feel heavier when I wear more. It also doesn’t smear and smudge when I sweat which is great. I’ve had foundations in the past which would start to come off once I started sweating. I prefer doing natural looks most days and it’s been great.
There aren’t enough shades for everyone to use specifically darker shades. Thankfully Fenty just came out earlier this year. I also wish there were more versions of their liquid foundation like foundations for oily skin, dry skin, matte, and etc. I’m hoping Wet n’ Wild comes out with more versions soon. I would love to try a different one like matte for instance.
This is my favorite foundation to date, and I plan on trying another Wet n’ Wild foundation next, so stay tuned. The coverage is great, and it’s nice to know the brand doesn’t hurt animals to make a profit. I love that it’s affordable and super long lasting! I’m almost finished with it and it’s been about a year and a half. I highly recommend this foundation if you can find it in your shade. I think it’s great for everyday wear which is what I use it for. This foundation isn’t hard to find, I’ve seen it available at most drug stores such as CVS, Walgreens and big chain stores like Wal-Mart and Target.
