Affordable Vegan & Cruelty Free Brands

Buying new makeup products is always fun, and I’ve been using affordable Vegan and Cruelty-Free Brands since I first started using makeup I just didn’t know it. I thought I’d share with you my favorite affordable vegan and cruelty-free brands.

First off  ELF, Wet n’ Wild, NYX, BH COSMETICS, Pixi, are all my favorites! Each brand is affordable and generally all available in the same location except for Pixi and BH Cosmetics. BH cosmetics is only available online, but they have sales often so TOTALLY WORTH! While Pixi is a little more pricey compared to the rest of the brands, so it’s not available in drug stores. It’s sold at Target and maybe Ulta and Sephora.

E.L.F. actually stands for Eyes Lips Face which I didn’t know until I was browsing through their website one day looking at what other products they offer. You can see for yourself they definitely offer more products than what you see in the store. This is one of the main brands I used when I first doing my makeup because it was cheap, let’s be real it’s sold in a lot of stores and it’s affordable. Most of their brushes are under $5 and their products are usually between $1-$10 at most. This brand has currently updated and changed their image slowly. They went from looking cheap to classier and more modern.

My favorite ELF products are there translucent powder, eyebrow pencil, and their eyelash curler. I’ve only ever tried Elf’s translucent powder, but it’s light and airy for when I do decide to apply it. I recently bought their $2 eyebrow pencil and it’s great, not the best, but also not far off from the others I’ve tried. It’s working fine for me right now as someone who is still experimenting and trying to find the best method for my eyebrows. The only thing I don’t like about the eyebrow pencil is the spoolie is a little harsh and it can leave lines on your face because the hairs on the brush aren’t as soft and wispy as you’d like. I bought an eyelash curler from ELF because my old one was really old and worn out. I haven’t had any problems with it and it’s been great.

Wet n’ Wild overview, I absolutely adore this brand because they’ve always been up to date and they’ve had awesome celebrities collaborations. A few of the celebrities are Demi Lovato, Fergie, and they’ve all released some cool products with the brand.

My favorite products from Wet N’ Wild are their pencil eyeliner, mascara, and new photo focus foundation. The first product I bought from Wet N’ Wild was their pencil eyeliner and it was because it was only 97 cents and it’s my favorite eyeliner to this day. I’ve tried purple, black, silver and blue and they work amazing. Their eyeliners are very pigmented, creamy and smooth so very easy to apply. I recently bought their mascara since mine have all dried up and I have to say I’m a really big fan of their volumizing mascara which was only $2. As for their foundation, I’ve been using it for over a year now and it works tremendously for me. I love that it’s lightweight, yet buildable for more coverage. The lack of shades for their foundation is the most disappointing feature in my opinion.

BH Cosmetics Overview, I heard about this brand through an ad on Instagram believe it or not. I saw that they were having a sale so I was browsing and then discovered they were vegan and cruetly free and AFFORDABLE so I was in LOVE.

My favorite products are the bamboo makeup brushes and their BH studio eyeshadow palette. These were the two items I bought from them, and I haven’t bought anything since because I’m trying to become more of a minimalist. I want to finish the products I have before buying new ones when it comes to makeup. The bamboo brush set is exactly what I wanted a full set of nice fluffy brushes that also came with a bag for them. They all work amazing and the hair doesn’t fall out. I paid $8 I think for my full set of makeup brushes because they were on sale and I use them all the time for my eye makeup. The eye shadow palette I bought is TO DIE FOR. It has 120 shades perfect for all the seasons and it was $12! It’s my favorite eye shadow palette and I won’t be buying anymore eye shadow palettes until I finish this one. They are all very pigmented and long-lasting, they apply very nicely.

Nyx overview

Favorite Products are their glow tonic. I was actually given this product as a gift so I haven’t bought any other products from them. That’s also because I’ve been wanting to try their eyebrow pencil since I heard it’s a dupe for the Anastasia eyebrow pencil, but every single time I go to the store they don’t have my shade so I haven’t been able to try one for their eyebrow pencils yet. The price on their eyebrow pencils has also recently gone up.

Have you heard of any of these brands?

Do you use any of these brands and if you do which one is your favorite? Mine would have to be Wet N’ Wild, but that’s because I haven’t bought enough from BH cosmetics to be obsessed with it yet.

  1. I haven’t been able to use those brands as I live in the UK. But recently Nyx is sold over here and I had chance to use their products and their make up brushes and I loved it! So that’s my experience with that make up brand! Thank you for sharing your review of these brands!

    1. Oh wow! I didn’t know that, at least you’ve been able to try NYX!! I know I’ve heard of a lot of brands from the UK that are sold here as well. I guess different markets and all? Thanks for reading!
