Week #3 of Dieting

Overall Status, I believe I did well this week. I’m getting with portion control and I am still trying to include one vegetable with my lunch during the day. I stopped intermittent fasting because it wasn’t working for me. It was too strict for me and my current schedule. I’m just trying to eat better and stay active to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The hardest part is staying committed in my opinion. I’m still doing my daily walks, later this week I’m going to try to do a heavier workout activity so I can burn more calories and make up for the lack thereof during the week.

Monday- I ate Honey Garlic Shrimp with asparagus, broccoli, and mushrooms. Then for dinner, I had chicken soup, (Caldo).

Tuesday- I ate a quarter of a Coldcut Subway sandwich with some asparagus, then I drank 2 black teas. I snacked on Pitted Dates, which are a good source of fiber.

Wednesday- I had steak bowl from Chipotle for the first time which had rice and bell peppers topped off with cheese and sour cream. I didn’t finish it was WAYY too much. Also, red meat doesn’t taste as good to me. I think it’s because I’m so used to eating lean chicken. I also ate carrots and string cheese. I drank black tea that day also.

Thursday- I ate carrots, a fiber bar, and drank tea and water. I had KFC chicken, mashed potatoes and macaroni for dinner. Very small portions though and I drank a lot of water to make me full faster.

Friday- I ate an apple and cinnamon oatmeal with kombucha drink. I only drank a quarter of the drink since it has a lot of sugar although it helps clean out your system.

Weekend- I usually eat out on the weekend, but it’s still kept under control and I try to go on walks or do some exercise to stay active to balance what I eat.

Sleeping- The difference between this week and the last two weeks are that I fell asleep much faster compared to before. I don’t know what made the difference, but I’m sleeping okay. I’m still fighting a sinus infection so I haven’t been sleeping as soundly. It’s gotten better over the last few days.

Hydration- I’m definitely drinking my 8 cups a day and then some, which is great when you’re dieting because it makes you fuller. I have also been drinking black tea to help with my throat and that’s also been helping with my water intake.

Energy- My energy levels have been okay, it’s been mixed because of my sleep which is from my sinus infection. I’m sure once I get over the sinus infection, I’ll be back to normal.
