Nail Stickers!

How many of you do your nails to relax? I love doing my nails, but you know those days when you try doing your nails and they just don’t come out right so you get frustrated and just end up giving up! Try using nail stickers, they’re easy to apply and last on average about 5 days. In the past when I’ve used the nail stickers, they were often mistaken for real nail polish. They don’t do any harm to your actual nails. It’s an alternative to having plain nails when giving them a break. You can buy nail stickers at your local drug store, department store and grocery store.

I’ve used nail stickers 3 times in the past. I’ve used the Kiss brand and random brands from Dollar Tree and the 99 cents store which have all worked in the same way. I just went shopping yesterday with my boyfriend’s sister and we went to a new store that a few classmates have been raving to me about. I would tell you guys the name, but it’s just a local boutique where I live. While we were there, we came across really different nail designs. I didn’t take pictures of all of them, but I plan on going to the same store again a few more times this summer and I’ll be sure to take more pictures to show you guys for sure!

I bought 2 packs of nail stickers that caught my eye which was one with really nice intricate, yet classy designs in a nice purple, pink and black.  Another design I came across which I purchased was a glittery rainbow ombre design. Ever since getting acrylics for the first time and having acrylics for 3 weeks, my real nails have been super weak compared to before. It’s been about 2 months since removing my acrylics and although my nails are much stronger I’m still trying to paint my nails less to prevent future damage. This summer, these nail stickers are going to be my new obsession for a while. I’ll be using nail stickers every 2 weeks to help my nails get stronger and to give my nails a break from nail polish.

The steps to applying the nail stickers are super easy! You place a sticker on a clean nail and fold back the rest of the sticker that doesn’t fit on your nail. Then you get a nail filer and file the remaining part of the nail sticker that you won’t use. After completing the steps you finish by applying one light layer of clear nail polish on top of the stickers to help them stay in place. Voilà you are finished! The whole process takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

Here’s what the remaining pieces of nail stickers look like that aren’t used.

I applied the glittery rainbow ombre design today and I think they look great! It’s a great and inexpensive way to express yourself and to be a little extra. I’ll update you guys on how long this design lasts. With my past experiences using nail stickers, the designs lasted on average 5-7 days. The last time I used nail stickers I was also washing dishes often so I plan on washing dishes once a day to see if my nail stickers will last longer.

My boyfriend’s sister bought a pack of nail stickers and we were applying them on our nails together, but she didn’t like how hers were coming out so she decided to remove them instead of continuing. She has longer nail beds than me, and the nail stickers still fit her nails but she was getting bumps when applying the stickers which led to her quitting. She said she liked how they looked, but since it was her first time trying to apply them it wore her patience thin. Lol.

Let me know in the comments if you guys like nail stickers and if you like the designs I chose?

  1. I’ve never tried nail stickers before! I look forward to seeing how they come out. I love having my nails done but hate painting them as nothing seems to stay on, and acrylics are expensive and as you say can weaken the nails. I might have to look into nail stickers as an alternative. I’d just be worried that like everything else they’d come straight off!

    1. Haha no they don’t just apply the clear coat on top right away then they won’t rip off. I’ve had mine on since Sunday and they’re still intact. I’ve tried to do designs in the past and it get frustrating so I totally understand you. Just go to your local drug store or dollar store and have a try. Lemme know what you think after! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and even more time to write a comment! 😊😊
