Here are a few of my favorite things

A few of my favorite Thai dishes are Tom Yum Gai, which is a Thai chicken soup with a sour broth that has bamboo, mushrooms and chicken. It tastes so good with rice. Pad kra Prow is also one of my favorites with egg and rice. Thai tea and Thai coffee are my guilty pleasures, now that I’m getting older and trying to be more health conscious I drink both less. Sticky rice with som tum also known as papaya salad is another one of my favorites. Yum woon sen, which is noodles, shrimp, and some chili along other veggies mixed is a favorite as well. Here are some personal facts about me enjoy being nosy lol ¬†Growing up, I went to 4 elementary schools. One in Thailand, and the other three were in California. All the years of school I’d have to complete made it less appealing. When I was in…

    Luk Krueng

Luk Krueng is a common Thai phrase which translates to a “half Thai” child. For me being half Thai and half White, I feel that I am more White than I am Thai. I may not look White, but I don’t think I look full Thai either. Obviously appearance doesn’t matter, but it does lead onto how others will perceive me. Of course once I introduce myself, as half White and half Thai most people then just think of me as Thai or Asian. Don’t get me wrong I love my Thai culture, but I feel as though I’m not as connected as I could be. I can speak Thai.…
